(Joe Orgill: I apologize for letting this email sit for so long in my email archive, at the
time Vic sent it, I was not pursuing this interest as active as I am now. Anyway,
thanks VIC!!)

Hello Again Joe,
I'm attaching a text file on the family of Orgills who
changed their name to Argyle, I guess if it's of any use to you I should
wack it into Brother's Keeper and then send it to you as a Gedcom file and
include more family members.
I have Argyles, Orgills etc. saved as *.dbf files which I use with MS Works
to sort on the various fields, these are taken from the IGI CD ROM and
cover, Derbs. Staffs, Leics. and I think I have Notts. there as well. If you
want any info from these I can sort for what you're looking for or can email
you the files. I don't know how well you know the district with the Orgills
you mentioned in the UK but they're all around the county boundaries of
Staffs., Derbs. and Leics., I've a good Automobile Association Atlas of UK
and can scan any area you may be interested in. The scanner's like me
though, a bit long in the tooth, so the quality may be down a bit.
Incidently I was born in Leics. and my wife myself and two children migrated
to Australia in 1963.
I now see that you are related to the Argyles in Utah through Edward
Orgill and Elizabeth Bath as per my attachment. There's a Joseph Argyle who
entered a lot of data into the IGI and he claimed a relationship between the
Arguiles of Barwell, Leics. ( my lot) and the Argyles of Market Bosworth,
Leics. so I guess Chapman was the link.
I've deleted the attachment, here it is in the message body.
The Market Bosworth Argyles originated from the marriage of Matthew
Argyle or Orgill bn.c. 1666 in Stapenhill, Derbs. to Elizabeth bn. c. 1670
also at Stapenhill.
They had 6 children all born at Stapenhill, Derbs. one of these Edward
Argyle (Orgill) chr. 7 Feb 1707 married on 25 July 1735 at Church Gresley
Elizabeth Bath bn. 1714.
They had 7 children, all born at Church Gresley, one of these Samuel Argel
or Argyle chr. 29 Jan 1749 married on 12 Jul 1774 at Market Bosworth, Leics.
Mary Smith bn. 8 May 1752 at Market Bosworth.
One of their children Joseph Argyle bn.29 Dec 1782, Mkt. Bos. had a second
mar. to Frances Smith bn. c. 1790.
one of their children, Joseph Argyle bn. 12 Sep. 1818 at Mkt Bosworth
married on 24 Dec. 1840 Jane Finch, bn. 29 Feb. 1824. Dudley, Staffs. They
both died at Woods Cross, Utah.
One of their children, Robert Holroyd Argyle bn. 15 May 1875 at Woods Cross
m. Lois Helen Coltrin, bn. 26 Jul. 1877. they had 14 children all bn. at
Woods Cross, Davis, Utah.
Hope the above is not too disjointed.
All the Best, Vic
