Hello Joe,
Happy New Year. It was nice to hear from you on 20th Dec last. I am, as you suggested, sending you my Orgill files in GED format. My research is divided into two groups.
One traces the family of my greatgrandmother Elizabeth Orgill, born 1855, daughter of Thomas and Jane (nee Staley).
The second traces the family of Harriet Orgill, born 1844, daughter of Thomas and Mary. You will see that Harriet is the greatgranddaughter of Edward Orgill and Elizabeth Bath. Harriet married Thomas Pearson of Repton in 1865, and my grandfather was looked after by them in Repton from being a very small child until he married, as his father was dead and his mother Elizabeth was in domestic service. He called Thomas and Harriet Uncle and Aunt. I can find no connection other than the fact that the two Orgill families lived next door to each other in 1841. I must be missing something. I would love to hear from anyone with a connection.
Best wishes,
Shirley Lockwood
